I've used Mr. Wayte & Mr. Ihli twice now. They did a great job on both houses for fair prices. I just wanted a basic refinish in my old house that turned out excellent. For my new house, I wanted some nicer flooring installed. I trusted their judgment. They made some beautiful walnut & cherry inlays!

RBI gave me a significantly lower estimate for refinishing my hardwood floors than any other company.



They did a good job in that the overall look was beautiful, and we had a ton of nails in the floor that they were able to pull up and make the holes disappear.



However, other details were not handled so well - for example, in one or two places there was a piece of carpet yarn stuck between the floor and the baseboard, and RBI simply painted right over it. So now we have carpet yarn stuck permanently in the polyurethane.



Also, there was a badly damaged spot in the hardwood floors that we had not noticed before, but they never bothered to ask if we wanted it repaired. They just left it the way it was. It would've been nice if they had brought it up.



And they did nothing about dust control (luckily we hadn't moved into the house yet so cleanup wasn't too bad).



Overall, I'm glad we hired them because they were so significantly lower than the other bids. If you are more concerned with quality than cost, they may not be the right choice for you.
