Although I initially got a good deal on a set of tires at this auto care center, after this week I will never go back. I went in for an oil change with my 20 buck coupon. When they were done changing the oil, the mechanic asked me to come look at the power steering pipe near the engine. He claimed it was leaking and needed to be replaced because it could be a fire hazard due to flammability of the steering fluid. The pipe did look wet. When he quoted me the price for the repair 325 dollars, I thought that was quite high and told him as much. He again stressed the importance of getting it fixed ASAP. I felt a little skeptical and told him I would take it to my own mechanic and ask him to quote me a price. About an hour later, my mechanic saw it, told me there was no leak and that it looked like someone pours some type of fluid on the power steering line. The PS fluid was at the correct level and he commended me on not falling for the mechanic's lie.
