Carter Lake Boys & Girls Club, based in Carter Lake, Iowa, is a unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Omaha. Its core services include arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. B&GC of Omaha offers a range of after school programs to more than 6,000 children and disadvantaged youth ages 6 through 18. It is also a member agency of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, United Way of the Midlands and Nonprofit Association of the Midlands. The club provides prevention programs for youth, including gang, alcohol, drug, tobacco, teen sex and unplanned pregnancies. B&GC also offers several clubs, such as street smart, kids in control, power hour, family support, fine arts, career explorers, job ready and keystone club.
