The company owns and operates more than 30 newspapers and portal Web sites in California, Colorado, Nevada and Oregon. All of Swift s newspapers are produced locally and printed in six printing sites, located in Carson City, Nev.; Gypsum, Colo.; Ogallala, Neb.; Greeley, Colo.; Grass Valley, Calif.; and Roseburg, Ore. The company s Gypsum, Colo., facility produces four daily and eight weekly newspapers and a number of other internal and third party publications. Swift Newspapers employs more than 1,000 people.
