Carson High School offers a variety of academic and extracurricular activities and programs to students. The school has various departments, such as fine and language arts, math, music and drama, naval science, occupational and business studies, physical education and health, science, social studies and special education. It also offers various clubs, including academic team, art, book, bowling team, capital stars, drama, film and indoor rock club, judicial board, link crew, mock trial, newspaper, the National Honor Society, photography, science Olympiad, sewing, speech and debate, stand tall, resist and united cultures clubs. The school also offers various sports programs, such as basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, football soccer, volleyball, swimming, track and field, cross country and cheerleading.
