Prices are about 2 1/2 times higher than lumber companies in surrounding areas. I stopped by to pick up 1 piece of plywood 1/2 in. 4x8 treated plywood while going through Carrollton to work on a small project at my families home. The price was $31.00 plus tax all and all $32.94. I called back t the Carrollton Store to re-check the price and they confirmed that the price was correct. I told them that this is about 2 1/2 times more than the price in my home town and they responded that they do not buy in bulk like other stores and that is why their prices are higher. I wonder if the jacked up prices are to pay for their new building that they put up recently. I feel that it is worth the money to drive out of town to purchase lumber versus buying in Carrollton.
