Sharp Creek Elementary School, established in 1999, is a public school serving the educational needs of students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school has an enrollment of more than 700 students. Its curriculum includes a skill-based language arts program, math, science, social studies, health, physical education and fine arts. The school s media center offers a variety of informational resources and curriculum-related enrichment activities through visiting authors and illustrators, musicians, speakers and exhibits. The center s book collection program supports the Accelerated Reader program with identified titles for reading. The school s computer lab is staffed by a computer clerk, who provides an introduction to computer parts and operation and maintains a related word wall and a computer model. Sharp Creek Elementary School is a part of the Carroll County School District and is located in Carrollton, Ga.
