THE TULAROSA BASIN GALLERY HISTORY The Gallery first opened its doors to the public on Saturday, October 25th, 2014. It currently displays the work of 35 photographers. The mandate requires that all the photographers reside in New Mexico at least part of the year and all the photos were taken in New Mexico, a one-stop overview of the Land of Enchantment.The two-story gallery building was constructed as a hardware store in 1917, only five years after New Mexico became a State. It currently occupies 7,500 sq. ft. of exhibit space make in the largest photographic gallery in New Mexico. Plans to expand to 15,000 sq. ft. when it develops its lower level into additional unique display area.
