Provided by YP.comStay Away. I Ordered an appitizer-Steamed Oysters $8.99 Description We steam them, you shuck them. Will show you how if youre a rookie.Served with lemon, hot butter & cocktail sauce. These were the dirtiest oysters I have ever been served .At 75 years I have eaten my share of oysters. The health Dept should check this place. There was so much mud on them they looked like they just dug them and put them in a serving pot. There was no hot butter ,they were cold and it was like shucking fresh oysters. The cook (owner)? came to our table and said that is how we serve them if you want them cleaner you have to ask for that when ordering.I have been to many seafood restaurants in my time and never had dirt and sand all over my pants when we were leaving. They also include an 18 % gratuity on the bill even if you think your server deserves less. We will never go back again,or recommend this restaurant to anyone

Provided by YP.comMy husband was very sick - fever, vomiting, dizziness - in the evening after eating scallops at this place on our way home from Carolina beach to Raleigh. I immediately contacted the owner by email to let her know. She tested the seafood and said it was fine. Oh, well, that makes it better, thanks. I contacted them by phone after having told her that I would contact her at a particular time. She was not there, but her husband, the cook was. He was beyond rude, accusing me of not knowing what food poisoning is. Having gotten food poisoning twice in my life, I sure as heck know what it is, and I resented the accusation that I was trying to pull a fast one on them. I contacted the wife again and this time she was surly. My husband went to the doctor and was diagnosed with food poisoning. They didn't care and refused to return my emails. I know there are people who try to pull food poisoning scams - but we are not one of them. When we pay 160 for a seafood meal, we expect to be damned happy and not sick as a dog afterwards!! He had to miss 2 days of work because he could barely move. GO TO TANGERINE REEF INSTEAD. We went there the next time we visited the beach - and had incredibly friendly service, phenomenal food (and we are great cooks). Avoid this place like the PLAGUE.

Provided by YP.comService was horrible. I honestly believe that they thought it was a privilege for us just to be there. Since gratuity is added to bill of 6 persons or more they do not go above and beyond just bringing some food to your table. It was pitiful. Not to mention we were told by the owner that it is the law to give an 18% tip unless each one of the 6 people at the table had a complaint of their own against the waitress. You would be better off at Long John Silvers at least they know what they are serving and do it with a smile.

Provided by YP.comUse to go there when they where in their old place it was great. Now that they have moved they stink.
OVER priced and the food wasn't even that great. I had diarrhea when i got home.
How can a FISH place not have flounder????????????????? Please this is NC, we like flounder and hushpuppies.
The seafood platter is ridiculously over priced. The menu is hard to understand.
What ever happened to the fish combos? You know Choose 2 or 3 from a list at a good price. FRIED flounder, oysters, shrimp, scallops and a silly crab with a big plastic bowl of puppies and fries?
Thats how we do things in the south.

Provided by YP.comWe called months in advance to reserve the outside sitting area for our reception of 26 people. It was discussed several times this was a private occasion leading up to the event. When we all got there, the area was open to the public. The tables were set in a manner that we all could not sit together and were crammed. We had to request they be set up in a manner where we would at least all sit together in the same general area. When it was asked again at the restaurant why it was still open to the public, the management was very unapologetic about their mess up. After that, they decided it was appropriate to extort and EXTRA $1,300 from us to "make it a private event" instead of trying to correct their mistake. Us bringing 26 people, allowing them to order whatever they wanted from the menu (meals, appetizers, beer, wine, desert etc.) wasn't enough for them. They wanted MORE money. Very disappointed they didn't want to right the wrong or accommodate us.
We WILL NOT BE PATRONIZING THEM ANYMORE. In addition to that we will steer our friends and family away from their establishment.

Truly the best seafood choweder I have ever had, and I love eating. The burschetta, heavenly. A must try, again and again and again. I recommend Michael's all the time to friends visiting and also those who live in the area.
