When I called the salon I was told there was a new client special and I would receive that $20 off price because I am a new client.(I also walked by the salon and saw a sign advertising this) Since the price was so good I made an appointment right away. I even asked AGAIN if I got the $20 off before I hung up. When I went in two days later to get my parital highlights done, I was very surprised. For having such high prices they weren't very nice. I was told my hairdresser wasn't there and I should wait. My appointment was at 9 and it was 9:10 and when she finally arrived, she told me,"Oh you were early." (So it's my fault?) Then, instead of putting the rob on me to make sure my shirt is clean, she tosses it on my lap and yes,"Here, put this on." Finally after like 30 minutes, shes asked if wanted anything to drink, AFTER she fixed herself some tea. The hairdresser even handed me the foil and asked me to hand it to her, because it would go faster. Finallly after she complained about my hair being to thick and insulting the picture I brought in as an example of how I'd like it colored, she took me up front to pay. When I got up there, she told me it was be $95 instead of $75. When I reminded her about the new client special that I was PROMISED (twice), she told me that $95 IS the new client special. When I corrected her and told her I spoke with a gentleman who even gave me his name, she STILL refused to give me the "new client special". I was amazed because their list of prices was right next to me, and a walk in customer pays $95 for partial highlights, so why was I promised $75 and not given it? This salon protrays itself as a highend salon but honestly I get better service from Supercuts. If I had known I was going to pay their full price I would've gone to my regular salon who charges LESS and they offer me FREE hand massages, back massages, and they even have someone special massage my head while they are shampooing my hair. They take their time and make me feel pampered and special, isn't that what a salon is supposed to do? My hair turned out ok, but I will probably never go again. You can get better PRICES and SERVICE from Supercuts or a Hairmasters. If you really want GREAT service go to The Loft in Escondido, it's worth the drive and money.
