La Costa Heights Elementary School is a part of the Encinitas Union School District, which serves more than 5,600 students and operates over five elementary schools. The school serves more than 590 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school s general academic curriculum includes language arts, math, science and social studies. It offers the English Language Learners program. It operates a parent-teacher association that organizes various fundraising activities and special events, including book fairs, family nights and carnivals. La Costa Heights Elementary School provides speech, language and hearing therapies for students with learning disabilities. The school also conducts classes in health and physical education.
