Since 1978, Owner Ron Bookwalter has been an integral part of Central Pennsylvanias Wedding and Portrait Photography. Bookwalter Photographics is a family owned and operated business at 3280 Spring Road in Carlisle specializing in documenting beautiful weddings, fond family memories, general portraiture and digital photo restoration. Ron is passionate about his work and loves to convey the essence of a memorable scene in a natural and creative way through his photographs. Ron has received numerous awards in print competitions from both the Professional Photographers of America and the Professional Photographers of Pennsylvania Associations. He has won trophies for the best portrait of a woman, best portrait of a man, best wedding candid, and the coveted Schriever Trophy for best overall portrait by popular vote from the Professional Photographers of Pennsylvania. He has also had images accepted into the prestigious National Loan collection of the Professional Photographers of America. Ron has been a member of the Board of Governors for the Professional Photographers of Pennsylvania since 1993 and served as President in 2005 and 2013.
