- Stroke RehabilitationDr. Konstantin Dzamashvili received his M.D. from Chuvash State University, USSR; and his Ph.D. in Aging of Autonomic Nervous System through Tbilisi State Medical Institute, Georgia, USSR. Dr. Dzamashvili is doubled boarded in Neurology and Vascular Neurology. Dr. Dzamashvili’s long list of accomplishments includes Co-Director of the Stroke and Neurovascular Program, Comprehensive Stroke Center, at the Central DuPage Hospital, Northwestern Medicine, The Neuroscience Institute, Winfield, Illinois.
- Pediatric CareShannon was born and raised in Fort Myers, FL. She started her medical career in ophthalmology as an ophthalmic technician. She worked for George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates in Washington D.C. for two years. Working for an academic organization inspired her to further pursue her medical career. Upon graduating from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, she worked at the University for three years as a Registered Nurse in the neuro critical care unit. She enjoyed working with adults, and wanted to gain more experience in pediatrics. Therefore, she transferred to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for one year, then St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital PICU for two years. While working in the PICU she attended University of Tampa, where she pursued her Master’s Degree in nursing. Shannon graduated with honors in May 2018, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of American Academy of Neurology.
- Primary CareLina was born in Havana, Cuba and was raised in Florida for most of her life. She became a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Florida, Tampa in 2016. She also graduated that year as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society. In 2017, she became a member of the American Association of Neurology and became a Nurse Practitioner First Assist attaining her degree from the National Institue of First Assist. Lina has worked as an RN at Lee Memorial Hospital in the Neurology and Neurology step-down unit for more than three years. She also worked there as an RN in Trauma and Med-surge units for two years. Before coming to the Florida Neurology Group in 2017, she worked in Primary Care as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

- Internal MedicineDr. Gamez was born in Manila, Philippines. He was the only student who completed his Bachelor of Science degree in three years with honors. He received his medical degree from University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine and Surgery in the Philippines in 1980. He completed his medical internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Miriam Hospital, Brown University in 1986. He completed his neurology residency at Mount Sinai medical Center, New York in 1989. He moved to Fort Myers, Florida and began clinical practice in General Neurology since then. His major areas of interest are in Parkinson’s disease and Movement disorders and Seizure disorders.

- Multiple SclerosisDr. Sanjeev Maniar was born and raised in India. He attended B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. In 1995, completed his intern year at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed his neurology residency and neurophysiology fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in 1999. He practiced for less than 2 years at Portsmouth, OH before he joined practice with Dr. Prasad in 2001. Since then he has practiced neurology in Northwest Indiana where he went on to become the Stroke Director and Multiple Sclerosis Director of Methodist Hospital until June 2017.He has been recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a partner in MS care since 2020.
- EpilepsyDr. Marino has special interest and training in diseases of the muscle and nerve, epilepsy and the treatment of movement disorders with botulinum toxin.
- PsychiatryDr. Carlin began private clinical practice in northern California, moving to Ft. Myers in 1983 where he has been in private practice since. Dr. Carlin is on the board of Epilepsy Services of Southwest Florida and has volunteered and directed the free epilepsy clinic in Lee County since 1990. He is certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is on the staff of two local hospitals. He and his wife Barbara have two daughters.
