I was the service tech out at the time,i was there for a coil froze up. One of the main causes of coils freezing up is due to a dirty filter. I cleaned the filter and washed out the condenser coil because of brush in the fins of the a.c. unit. If the unit became loud agian that evening I wish he would of called us back because we would have been more than willing to come back at no charge if it was a recurring problem. we feel our pricing is some of the lowest pricing in the industry. The tech was a nice kid...friendly, courteous, and on time. Unfortunately, the results were not not so sunny. My A/C unit has started making a lot of noise. He came out early, but couldn't service the unit because a pipe was frozen, so came out later in the afternoon. He suggested part of the problem could have been that the furnace filter was dirty, which it was, so I cleaned it (it's a reusable filter). When he came out in the afternoon, he tested the A/C unit, and said it was fine. He suggested that debris from the bushes next to the A/C unit may clogging the cooling fins, causing the A/C to overwork. I was charged $69 for the trip charge, and $32 for him to spray the fins with a hose (yes, really, $32 to spray water for 5 minutes...I wonder how much it would have been if he had to spray the filter too!). The issue, of course, is that by nightfall, the A/C unit was noisy again. If you value your money, look somewhere else.
