Established in 1931, Belle Stone Elementary School offers educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade five. This was my elementary school and it was one of the outstanding educational facilities in the city of Canton. I graduated in 1950, but it was here that I first discovered the world of science and its fascinating mysteries. I continued my in interest in high school, college and medical school, but it was at Belle Stone that the light was first lit. Its been 61 years, but it seems like yesterday. Today I am Professor Emeritus at Tufts University School of Medicine but it all started here at Belle Stone. I wish nothing but the best to the faculty and students and hope that somewhere there is another young boy or girl who will find his or her life's joy as I did at this wonderful school.
