I went in for my first eye exam and I enjoyed my visit. My exam was great since I did not know what to expect. I found out I needed no line bifocals. The staff was very knowledgeable and explained all the different types of no line bifocals there were and what each did. I thought the selection of their frames were great as well a lot to choose from. I enjoyed the new manager and thought the entire staff was professional and very experienced in their skill. I would recommend this place to anyone and this my eye care place from now on. Great job!

I can not say enough how much my husband, son and I LUV the Doctor (long blonde hair) and her assistant Katherine! They rock in service and care. If you just had to deal just with those two I could/would go on about going to the Canton Walmart. BUT..the sad part is to GET any merchandise such as glasses or contacts you have to deal with the very rude (short dark skin guy) or one of the two bimbo females. I ordered new scripts for in an existing walmart pair of glasses and 3 months worth of contacts. When the (hardly English speaking ) girl called she didn't even have our name right, had to keep telling her who she had called. When I got there to get my sons glasses the same girl pulled out 2 different customers glasses (to which I had to keep saying no, not ours). After going BACK to her computer she finally pulled ours out. I asked while she was standing AT the cabinet (where customers orders were held) if our contacts came in also (6 boxes! cant miss 6 big boxes!). She said she had looked (yeah, right never saw her) and they were not in. I continued to call for the contacts. On the 4 days after getting the glasses one girl placed me on hold, came back and said no but she would call as soon as they were. I continue to call checking and on the 11th day I am told by the Spanish girl, "Oh! they have been here for a week". A WEEK??? That would be the same day the glasses were picked up, and what about all the other days I was calling AND being put on hold "for them to go look"?? After using this walmart for the past 2 yrs this is by no means our first service issue with the glass "area" employees. Not leaving Walmart because of the quality of glasses and Great prices, but you can bet (!!!!) the Canton Walmart is NOT my eye center after this last go round.

I am not sure how this Walmart stacks up against other Walmarts. But what I can tell you is that I have never had a great shopping experience there. While the products are ok and the toy selection is reasonable, the employees lack friendliness and are not helpful at all, even when it is obvious that help is needed. For example, I went into the seasonal section during Christmas and was looking for some lights. It was early morning, the department was virtually empty, and there were at least 4 employees in the department. I couldn't reach the lights above the second shelf despite reaching for them numerous times. Although several employees saw this, no one offered to assist me. Very disappointing. Another area in need of desperate improvement are the restrooms. They are consistently dirty and are gross. I only patronize this store when I am in a bind and there isn't anywhere else to go. My 2008 resolution is to not go there at all.
