The Cherokee County Roads and Bridges division is responsible for the maintenance, management and supervision of road system and roadway network. It provides grading, drainage, and pavement maintenance and improvement services. The division also oversees the installation and replacement of road signs. The Cherokee County Roads and Bridges division offers carcass removal services. It operates a recycling center. The division is a part of the public works department, governed by Cherokee County in Georgia. The department maintains engineering, development inspection and stormwater management divisions. The Public Works department provides a transportation plan and capital programs. Its engineering division is responsible for making inspections and issuing erosion permits for house construction.
