De Soto Pharmacy is a large locally owned independent pharmacy centrally located in the San Fernando Valley on the corner of DeSoto & Roscoe Boulevards. Established in 1959, DeSoto Pharmacy has become a cornerstone of our rich local culture. Our large customer base, to whom our talented and loyal staff speak Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and other languages. These skills enable us to serve a diverse population, including multi-generation families that have been customers for decades. DeSoto Pharmacy accepts 99% of pharmacy insurance plans including Medi-Cal, Anthem Blue Cross, Caremark, Aetna, Health Net, Cigna and many more. Our patient services include vaccinations, Medication Therapy Management, diabetic shoes, home health care equipment, medical supplies, and delivery service is available. Jerry’s Soda Shoppe was added in 1996 featuring Lappert’s, Fosselman’s, and Cascade Ice Creams. Our signature chocolate dipped ice cream soda was named “Best Ice Cream Treat in California” in the Food Network Magazine and was featured on the Cooking Channel in the show ”Ice Cream Nation” originally airing in 2013. Our friendly, courteous, and professional staff is always willing to provide personalized service and to help you find that special item you are looking for.

Do not ever get your prescriptions or medical needs filled here!!! The staff is friendly and attentive, something I absolutely hate. If you do come to do business, do not sit at the old fashioned soda fountain because I do not want to be disturbed while I chow on my spectacular hot fudge sundae! The one thing I do like about this place is that they do not bombard the patron with an over abundance of chotchkies, toys, and b.s. it is a wonderful throw back to the good ole days when soda fountains and pharmacies were just that and nothing else! Once again, Do Not Come Here, it is my special place.
