Established in 1945, Cardigan Mountain School is a junior boarding school for boys in grades six through nine. The school enrolls more than 200 students, and offers classes in various subjects, including English, mathematics, religious studies, science and technology, life skills and social studies. It also teaches American history, French, Latin, Spanish, health education, arts and crafts, vocal and instrumental music, and physical education. The school offers various sports programs, including soccer, basketball, football, cross-country, hockey, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball, snowboarding, wrestling, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, and athletics. It also organizes extracurricular activities, such as dance, drama, fishing, horseback riding, canoeing and sailing, aerobics, cooking, film criticism, and yearbook.
