UCP Central PA provides a variety of community and center-based programs and services in more than 10 central Pennsylvania counties and serves more than 2,500 consumers. It operates from more than 15 facilities, including Capital Area Children's Center. It has over 10 adult day programs and three group residences. The organization develops and enhances functional, communication, recreational and prevocational skills of people with disabilities. It offers early intervention, respite care, and developmental and therapeutic services for children and their families. Its sister organization, UCP Foundation of Central PA, is a nonprofit foundation that provides financial support. UCP Central PA is a part of United Cerebral Palsy, which is one of the largest health charity organizations in the United States. It is one of the leading sources of information on cerebral palsy and is a pivotal advocate for the rights of people with disabilities.
