Cascap, founded in 1973, is a nonprofit organization with expertise in the development and management of housing, as well as the delivery of residential and educational supportive services to elderly and disabled adults. The organization s Consumer Provider Program assists individuals with psychiatric disabilities to enter and pursue careers in the health care field. Its training and education department provides employees with various educational opportunities, from specialized skill building to skills and aptitudes common to all professions. The organization provides social work services and service coordination to more than 1,300 individuals in its elderly and family housing programs through partnership with the Cambridge Housing Authority.
