Cravat Coal Company mines coal throughout locations in eastern Ohio. The company either owns or purchases rights to mine in areas where coal seems generously deposited and then mines those areas. The raw coal obtained from the mines is then sold to members of the electric generation industry. Cravat Coal Company is privately-owned and has no parent, sister or subsidiary companies. The company maintains its headquarters in Cadiz, Ohio, and has been in business since 1951.
