Excelsior Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. The school s performing arts department offers classes in band, art, drama and choir. Its core curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, Spanish, and special and physical education. Excelsior Middle School operates a parent-teacher-student association that organizes several fundraising events and recreational activities. The school s library includes a collection of textbooks, reference materials, encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases and newspapers. Its counseling program supports students with their academic, social and emotional needs. Excelsior Middle School is located in Byron, Calif. The school is governed by the Byron Union School District, which also operates Timber Point Elementary School and Discovery Bay Elementary School.
