Pros: This school has a lot to offer outside of education such as little extracurricular activities or “sports,” water activities and field trips. Also give parents opportunities to join in to chaperone, of course.

Cons: There are a few extremely snobbish teachers there amongst the principle. Ms. Patrina, being highly dismissive towards parents. She rushes them off in whichever way they’re able to talk to her face to face or through the phone. She speaks to parents as if they’re children and shows a great amount of favoritism, as she makes it both look and sound, between new and old children/parents.

Most teachers do not get to know they’re child’s parents even when the parents are trying to get to know them. Those who help bring the kids into school at the door, the cook and janitors have much more respect, consideration and manners than those who run that school and teach the students.

They’re overwhelmingly strict towards most of their students and make the process harder than it ought to be with kids that are transitioning.

All in all, what the facility has to offer alone would have been ranked at 5 stars. However, with the way people are that are at that facility decreased it’s overall value.

The school was clean and the teachers are great, but the administration were not pleasant people. They micromanage the teachers, children, and parents creating an uncomfortable climate. Also, the learning pace is slower than most schools on the same curriculum and they focus more on small behaviors that are deemed unacceptable (leaning in the chairs) as opposed to providing daily reports of the children's learning progress in class.

Our sons attend KOL. We are very pleased with all they have learned since being there. Our 3 year old knows more than a lot of kids his age, including The Lords Prayer. The baby teacher, Ms Perkins, cared for our baby boy like he was her own. We looked at all of the daycares in the Byram area. We are glad that we chose this one.

Great School

My daughter was three years old when she started Kaleidoscope of Learning. This preschool was highly recommended and has beat my expectations. The facility is clean and has a wonderful staff. The K-4 teacher is WONDERFUL!!!! At first, my daughter was shy and now she has blossomed and enjoys learning. She has homework and LOVES doing it. She says "learning is fun" and I totally agree. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL!!!!!
