- Business History
- Martin Sales and Service Inc. was born when it’s owner, Dave Martin, began repairing sewing machines and vacuums, as well as selling Hearthstone wood stoves out of his basement in 1978. Dave soon found that his clientele was growing so large that he needed more room than what his basement could provide. In 1980 he moved his flourishing business to a small 550 square foot building on North Main Street Extension in Butler. The move allowed for more space and greater presence in the community. Martin Sale’s reputation for offering quality merchandise and service with highly competitive prices lead to exponential growth in just a few years. Dave soon realized that he had once again outgrown his space. In 1988, Dave built a 2,400 square foot building to meet his business needs, and this is where Martin Sales and Service Inc. is located today.

Martin's did a great job installing our stove. They were very clean and courteous, and the store also had a huge selection of all different types of stoves. If you cant find something you like there, you wont anywhere else either!

Family owned business with the knowledge that courteous customer service and wide selection of products is the reason people travel from the tri state area to do business with them. From sweepers, to sewing machines, to fireplaces- they know their stuff.

Martin's are truly the experts! You won't find the price cheaper elsewhere. They have an awesome showroom and we have talked to several sales people during the decision process. Every one of the sales people were very knowledgable and helpful. They also did a very clean job installing.
