Established in 1933, King-Bruwaert House is a nonprofit retirement community and is located in Burr Ridge, Ill. It is also accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organization. Its amenities include a chapel, fitness center, garden, greenhouse, musical instruments, interior furnishings and audiovisual equipment. Its 35-bed health care center provides meals, housekeeping, laundry and linen service, medication administration and personal care assistance. It also provides on-site amenities, such as beauty salon and barbershop, movie theater, billiard room, library and studios for ceramics, weaving and woodworking. The facility also consists of Suzanne s Place, a 12-bed private area with dining room, fireplace, courtyard, recreation area, television room and sitting area. Additionally, King-Bruwaert House offers a variety of activities, such as exercise classes, games, news discussions, book reviews, arts, crafts, woodworking, ceramics classes, horticultural, lawn bowling, cocktail socials and entertainment programs.
