Joseph Ashner founded the Swimming Pool Store business in 1969. We are a full service swimming pool company in that we offer pool service/maintenance, new pool construction/renovation as well as a large swimming pool retail store. During our forty plus years in business we have never had any complaints against our licenses nor have we ever had any lawsuits against our company. Whether you are buying a new in-ground swimming pool or a .99-cent O-ring, we will treat you with same level of respect and courtesy. Our founder, Joseph Ashner believed in a very simple philosophy of doing honest work for honest money. We never take down payments for the work we do. After the job is complete, if you're completely satisfied with our work then you pay us. If you're not satisfied we will solve whatever you're not happy with and make it right.

There is no substitute for experience and that is what you get here. They have a state of the art water testing system but they won't sell you stuff you don't need. Staff is very friendly. Again, they know what they are doing.

Not only did they install my pool they did it on time, on budget and with a friendly, respectful crew. They have become my friends. They are a resource to answer any questions I have had and have always provided what I need. Other stores try to sell you chemicals, gadgets and items you really do not need. If you want an honest knowledgeable company to work with go to The Swimming Pool Store. I am also a contractor and have connections 'in the business' and could have had a lot of people do my pool. Because of the character and morals of the Ashner family and the example set by Joe, they are the only people who will get my business and referrals. They only know one way to do things; the right way the first time.

I had a liner replaced by the swimming pool store, they showed up when they said they would and did a great job. the workmen were very friendly. Every time I go to the store everyone is courteous and knowledgable and takes the time to answer all my questions. I can't say enough about this place. I won't go anywhere else.

Worst place to purchase a pool. I purchased a pool from them in June 2006 and have had nothing but problems from day one and no one is willing to help with the problem.

I have always had a very positive experience shopping or even getting help at the Swimming Pool Store. They have helped me numerous times with problems I have had with a filter or other equipment I have purchased elsewhere. I highly recommend the Swimming Pool Store in Burlington, CT.
