Burlingame Intermediate School located in Burlingame, Calif., is affiliated with the Burlingame School District. The school offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to more than 800 students in grades six through eight. It enrolls students from diverse social, economic and ethnic groups. Burlingame Intermediate School offers various programs, including English, Spanish, language arts, science, social science, English as a second language, mathematics and physical education. It also provides band orchestra, arts, French, leadership, Italian and drama programs. The school has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
