I am completely dissatisfied with the service supplied by Phillips Custom Sewing. On April 23rd, 2019, I contracted with the owner, Kathy Philips,
• to fit me, find patterns for, cut, and sew three blouses, one dress, one jumpsuit, one shorts and top outfit, and two pair of pants for an estimated price of $1000
• I was supplying all the fabric, thread, some buttons, and some lace, all of which she took home with her. The fabric was on bolts which were in large amounts of excess to what was needed for the job
• after not hearing from Kathy for a long time, I wrote her on July 7th
• after three phone calls and no answer on the morning of July 25th, I wrote her again
• received a response shortly after, telling me she was sorry for not responding after meeting with me, but she had had two great losses and her husband was seriously injured; said she could not answer the phone because she was at work
• I then found that many of my messages after we first made contact had been deleted and so I called her again and said she needed to call me in an hour or I was going to write bad reviews for her immediately
• she then answered my message immediately, saying she couldn’t answer her phone in surgery
• said I was sorry, but couldn’t believe she was in surgery for three months
• she said she wasn’t, but she was today (lied, as she just said she was at work and couldn’t answer the phone in her previous message)
• then she said that my fabric and supplies would be delivered to me tomorrow midday
She did not give me a good reason why three months’ time was wasted and my order was needlessly delayed while someone else could have been working on this project. This is the most unprofessional service I have ever encountered in my life.
She said she was sorry and overwhelmed, which I find inadequate and way too late. I have not even received a personal phone call in response to this complaint.
