We used Whitmer decks to replace a large deck that was badly in need of coming down. We found them through Consumer Checkbook and the ratings there were (and still are) incredible. Cliff came out to our house with his laptop and the drawing he had come up with after a very quick initial appointment...he showed us the design of the deck with changes that we wanted from the previous deck and discussed all of the material and design options with us thoroughly. We were disappointed that he was booked up for several months at that point, BUT WHITMER WAS AND IS WORTH THE WAIT. The estimate was right in line with another one we received and his crew was thorough and professional...they pay attention to every little detail and left us with a beautiful deck and a clean yard...they even went so far as to stack up bricks that had been uncovered in the process (an old patio) and sweep the stoop to the basement door for us.
