Established in 1998, Bunn Middle School is affiliated with the Franklin County Schools. It is located in South Bunn, N.C., and provides a wide range of academic courses for students in grades six through eight. The school enrolls more than 650 students. The various academic course subjects offered include English, language arts, physical science, world history and geography, integrated mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and health and physical education. It also offers foreign language, media and fine arts and music classes. In addition, it encourages the students to participate in reading incentive programs, such as accelerated reader and North Carolina Battle of the Books. In addition, Bunn Middle School s students publish the Updawg Magazine that features stories, poetry, interviews and reviews on artwork.
