went to clinton- rossler plaza to puchase lawnmower on memorial day. once home i started to assemble by directions. i noticed that recoil starter cord was very hard to pull and would not retract back.put back in box and returned to store thirty min. later. explained to manager what the problem was, and asked for an exchange or my money back. was told i could have neither and was told to take to repair shop to get it fixed. i will never purchase anything from this store again. buyer beware --- very poor return policy.

I would like to submit a complaint about a manager at one of your Erie pa stores and choose to remain anonymous. Recently I visited your store on Buffalo road near Harborcreek. I came into contact with a manager by the name of Jeff. I needed help with some gardening supplies and had some questions I wanted to ask. Besides the fact that he didn't seem to know much he acted as if his mind was on some other matter that he deemed more important. I decided to ignore him and he went away and a store associate came over to help. This might not be that important of a matter but I wanted to make somebody aware of it so you know.

I live near your Harborcreek, Pa. store and go in there quite often. Your new store manager named Jeff doesn't seem very customer friendly. The other managers prior to him were more helpful and much more knowledgeable about your products. I won't be shopping there any longer.
I am writing because I would like someone at the corporate level to know about my experience on Friday at the Southport,NY Valu Home Center. Having worked for 20+ years as a postal clerk, I am used to stress at the window, however, on Friday in the morning, I had a "sugar low". I began having error after error and was calling on my manager, Mr. Eric Butterfield, to fix my problems. Not once did he reprimand or embarrass me about all these problems, instead he was very supportive and talked me through this. This is the kind of attitude each of these managers have shown to me and not me alone. Their treatment of the employees is exemplary. I thought you should know.
