      Before we came to Agape my autistic son, who had destructive and violent tendencies, spent 6 years on various waiting lists for residential placement. After we came to Agape, he was placed in less than one year. We have an excellent service coordinator at Agape who truly understood our situation and did not stop looking until she found placement for our son. Now he is doing very well. Agape also found our family an excellent special education lawyer when we needed one. I would recommend Agape to any parent with a special needs child.

      I would not recommend Agape to parents with kids with special needs. They have a high turnover rate of their good people and keep their bad people. Their staff are not knowledgeable, unprofessional and disorganized. They do not treat families with respect. There are lots of other places to find advocates in WNY.

      Stay away from these people. They have a hidden agenda and they will make huge amounts of trouble and harass you when you try to switch service providers.

      Agape Parents Fellowship is a nonprofit organization that works for the community integration and social stigma reduction for individuals with developmental and mental impairments. It provides crisis intervention and hospice and respite care services for caregivers and families of people with disabilities. Agape Parents Fellowship offers various nonmedical services, including hospital visitation, prayer, spiritual encouragement, and meal planning and preparation services. It also provides day and residential rehabilitation programs that focus on the enhancement and development of socialization, communication, housekeeping, personal hygiene, budgeting and behavior management skills. Additionally, the organization offers environment and home modification services, as well as adaptive technology and medical supplies. Agape Parents Fellowship is located in Lackawanna, N.Y.
