      Poly Prep Country Day School, founded in 1854, is an independent college preparatory day school. It offers education to students in grades kindergarten through 12 and has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students. The school s curriculum includes a variety of subjects, such as reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, spiritual guidance, media and technology and physical education. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities to students, such as peer tutoring and mediation, art, music, authors, speakers, band and strings, chess club, student council, safety patrol, debates and community service. The amenities offered by the school include library, bookstore, and a media center that provides instruction in research and media production skills, computer literacy and literature.
