My brother resides at Ocean View Manor. Since my brother has been in their care his mental and physical health has deteriorated drastically. The facility has totally ignored his need for mental stability. There is no urgency on their part to assist him in mental stability nor maintenance of his diabetes. This seems to be optimal for their benefit since he's been a resident his cash allowance has dropped to less than $400 a month. Safety is also a major concern. It is located on a block that meets the boardwalk which is extremely dark and desolate. Since residing at the home he has been harassed by neighborhood residents on several occasion, having to physically defend himself while visiting the local bodega and laundromat. It is highly recommended that you or a family member visit the facility unannounced and during the evening in order to get a true perspective.
