It's when the chips are down that service and character are tested. Hurricane Sandy tested Gold Shield. Despite the breakdown in communications, loss of public transportation, and impassable bridges, tunnels, streets and highways, Gold Shield provided us unbroken security coverage for our buildings in the flood zone in Manhattan -- even providing double staff coverage round the clock where our tenants suffered loss of electricity, heat, elevators, water pressure, and potable water. The on-site security staff served double, triple and even quadruple shifts or walked miles to maintain full coverage for our tenants. President, Bill Weinig, purchased emergency supplies, equipment and food for not only his security staff but our other building personnel, braving storm conditions to personally deliver these needs. Our security company is well named. The chips were down, and we were shielded from multiple risks by a service that was golden.

Very reliable. We're a contractor in Long Island City, and needed a security person with patrol vehicle, last minute, and even after Hurricane Sandy they were able to help out. Would/do recommend to others, and have been thinking of ways to use them in the future!
