I am from Philadelphia and needed to make arrangements for my Aunt Mary. I'd been around to a few funeral homes before I landed at Frank R. Bell funeral home. However, I knew that it was the right place upon entering. I rang the doorbell and someone answered it. They were inviting and greeted me as if I was family. Rev. Cory A. Easterling, the Funeral Director, was very professional and courteous. Here's what happened when we initially sat down.... He sincerely expressed sorrow for my loss and gave his condolences and asked me how he can help. I then told him why I was there and what I needed. Next, he walked me through the process (step by step) itemizing the various cost for services. Prior places had given a rough estimate without back up information. He listened, documented everything I wanted, and I began to relax. I was worried and he guided me and I started to feel like everything was going to go better than just fine; things were going to go great! At some point, I went to the restroom and picked up a motivational common sense guide to better living that focused on the ways to happiness. By the time I left, I was floating on air because now I had a bit of random information that I'd happened upon that was completely unexpected. After I left, I realized that I was totally unequipped to obtain a very important peice of needed information; the location of my family member's husband's grave. Well, Cory came to the rescue by drawing seemingly miniscule info out of me and he tracked down the burial site. By then I was ready to sign wherever I need to sign to ensure that they would preside over my aunt's funeral. It was important that I retrieve the body from the morgue and I asked to be notified when they did. Well, they did and this eased my burden. Fast forward to the day of the funeral... She looked absolutely fabulously sleep... Not all dried out or... well dead like the crypt-keeper or anything... she looked very blissfully peaceful. Everything went beautifully. The ministers were very thoughtful and caring. Minister Sayles sang so beautifully that all I could do is listen and be comforted in the melodic words and voice. I am forever grateful and appreciative of the respectfully classy and dignified manner in which they handled my Aunt's funeral. - marcella
