Founded in 2003, the Academy of Urban Planning is an educational institution that serves students in grades 9 through 12. The academy specializes in urban planning-based curriculum. Its class projects and elective courses are based on various topics, such as urban planning history, economic development, the preservation of open spaces, and transportation and infrastructure. The Academy of Urban Planning offers classes in English, language arts, math, science and urban ecology. The academy s curriculum also includes Spanish, physical education and earth science.
