BEWARE - DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR. We had a contract in February 2007 to build a sunroom. Beginning on June 4, 2007 we had numerous problems from a leaking roof, water coming in from underneath the deck, the handrails coming apart from the deck and numerous other safety code violations. The contractor was unresponsive, would not come to do the repairs when they said they would and never completed the sunroom. We went to BBB, but the company was unresponsive to them as well. In September 2008 hired a lawyer to try and get the contractor to make the necessary repairs and finish the sunroom. Again, he was unresponsive to the lawyer. June 12, 2009 filed a claim with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission and finally received court date for July 6, 2011, but contractor got hearing postponed. Went to court Sep 26 and had a continuation on Nov 7, contractor got hearing postponed again. This is the tactic lawyer uses hoping consumer will drop case. Neither HIC nor OAH will help.
