I have generally had a pretty good experience with this provider. There are a few issues that need to be addressed, however. First, they turn the fax machine off when the office is closed. This causes problems when calling on prescription refills when the doctor needs to authorize a refill. Because the fax is off, requests for refills from the pharmacy tend to get "lost." Also, they seem to make some unbelievable mistakes. Recently, I was told by my pharmacy that they could not give me a refill of a medicine I have been taking for over a year because BIM had no record of that medicine ever being prescribed to me. Dr. Calcote is the one who prescribed the drug to me and has been authorizing refills for more than a year. Because BIM closes at noon on Friday, and because they will be closed the week of July 4, I will be without this medication for two weeks. I would appreciate some changes in the way BIM conducts business.
