Horrible internet speeds and even worse customer service.

While shopping for internet online, I started a chat with a representative in order to ask a few simple questions. Instead of answering the questions, the associate immediately got my phone number so that a sales associate could call me. The sales associate had a thick accent and was difficult to understand and wasn't interested in answering my questions. He only wanted to strong-arm me into signing up for internet immediately. When I told him that I was only shopping for internet at that time and that I didn't want to sign up at that moment, he hung up the phone on me. I guess that I won't be choosing Cox.

I have had problems with them for quite awhile now. My internet cuts out at nighttimes (only at nighttimes) and Cox cannot figure out what is wrong. I have had my equipment checked and they have sent out technicians to check my connection; the problem is not on my end, so it must be a problem with Cox. I called technical support and they only said "Nighttime is our busiest time, so we sometimes have cutouts". Well, why is that? Am I paying for an internet service that doesn't provide enough broadband to support all of their paying customers? I am now, but I won't be much longer. I'm getting away from Cox as soon as I can!

I would not recommend Cox Communications to anyone! They constantly raise their rates, while at the same time providing less and less service. They subcontract their installations and repairs---and the so-called technicians who do the work have no clue what they're doing.

Never start phone service with cox. For if you ever want to use another phone company and port your exisiting number cox will drag it out to the point that you either contact the fcc or you just take a new number.

They used to have great customer service, but since I moved back they can't get my bill right. Three months, three incorrect bills. Services that I didn't wantn on the bill, services I'm suppoesd to have not on the bill, extra charges as a result of things included in my package not being "turned on". I'm finding another provider.

They sneakily add service into your bill, which has never been consistent. The rate will incredibly blast up after 6 months, three times or four times or so, I'll cancel it.
