Since 1991, Women's Housing and Economic Development Corp. has been providing affordable homes, early childhood education and youth development, family support, home-based child care microenterprise and food business incubation. Based in Bronx, N.Y., the organization builds affordable homes for low-income families. Its list of green homes includes Urban Horizons, Intervale Green and the Bronx Music Heritage Center. Through its support services, the housing corporation caters adult literacy classes, counseling and access to job opportunities. Women's Housing and Economic Development Corp. is Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited.
