Founded in 1978, Saint Dominic's Home is a Catholic social welfare agency. Located in Bronx, N.Y., the organization works to meet the educational, physical, social, emotional, medical, vocational and spiritual needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Through its developmental disabilities department, the welfare agency provides therapeutic residential programs for severe to mild mentally retarded adults and children. It also prepares and supports foster parents who often have been neglected, abused or abandoned.
