General Info

Dr. Manson is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine. He received his B.A. in the Biological Basis of Behavior and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Columbia University and served as Chief Resident. He completed fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, serving as Chief Fellow during his last year of fellowship training. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Manson specializes in caring for patients with a broad range of pulmonary diseases and critical illness with a particular clinical interest in pulmonary care for patients with cancer. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, thoughtful, and evidence-based care. He is passionate about medical education and serves as an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, co-directing the Advanced Clinician Educator Program. His academic interests include pulmonary effects of cancer-related therapies, the physical and psychological consequences of pulmonary disease and critical illness, bolstering education in serious illness communication, and optimizing the use of palliative care in the intensive care unit.
