Having become used to apathy and incompetence by an office staff due to the take-over of our medical system by HMOs and the resulting understaffing, I was amazed at the professionalism exhibited by EVERYONE in this office.
So often office staff will flatter the doctors, get along great with one another and totally ignore or abuse the patients. NOt here.
The other syndrome by doctors is to find nothing on a test and dismiss you, as though the TEST meant that you weren't sick. However, once Dr. Thomas assured himself I had no detached retina, he called in 2 other opthamologists there for their opinion. We are still in the midst of it, which includes a sonargram of my carotid artery.
