Horrible experience. I went by to pick up my shoes and the heels had glue/paint or something on them. I wished that I had read the reviews before going there. I ask for a copy of the work order for my records and he refused to give me a copy. Even a police officer sitting in his parking lot said there was nothing he could do. The police officer said I could go down to the local courthouse/police dept. and file a complaint. It looks like there's already several complaints filed againot him. I don't know how a business owner like this could keep ripping people off and stay in business. Beware stay away from this business.

Terrible experience. He said he could repair a small tear in a leather ottoman. He had it over a month. Kept promising he would have finished. When we went to pick up he would tell us a different lie. Ended with a confrontation. He would not give us our money back ($48). Will report him to better business bureau. Real jerk!

I let this man take my designer handbag because he said "I can make it look brand new"! It's now been over a year and he has " lost" it! I don't see how it could have been lost, because the "business" is very small.

First, I drove from my home, Kingsport, TN to Bristol. VA,and, I was told the purse was at his home! (He lives in my town, but works in Bristol, VA! ) Then I drove to his home, and was told by his wife that it was in his car at work! So I then drove back to Bristol VA and was presented with a purse that looked horrible, and was not mine! I was told at that time, he could not find my purse! So I gave him time to look for it! He still couldn't find it! I was then told that he would file it with his insurance company! I have now called several times and he says the insurance company is supposed to call him. I am just tired of it now! I have lost my only purse which I paid $165 for!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT LET THIS PLACE HAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE!!! YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT

He did a good job on my boots but i bought 2 pair of custom made insoles $30 each he dod not make them said he would mail never received call get run around im thinking he is a ripoff!! Cost $45 in gas for me to make the trip to Bristol

My experience with this jerk is similar to the other reviews. I rate 1 star because it's the lowest available choice. Terrible experience, stay away !!

Wayne Baker is the owner of this store and he does not have any morals. He has had my Harley Davidson boots for over a month now and he had told my boyfriend the same thing three weeks in a row. He told him he has misplaced them but when he finds them he will bring them to me. I have the shop next to him and I am not going anywhere. Why has he been in busy so long if he keeps doing this to others. Why don't several people get together and protest again him. Something has to be done about this man and the way he treats and acts towards people. I have called everyone I know to call ab out him. I have submitted a claim against him with the Better Business Bureau, plus have called the Federal Trade Commission. I m hoping one of these organizations can do something for the ones of us that can't do anything to him.

I have had a very bad experience with this businessman. He "tried" to replace a strap on an expensive leather purse about four years ago. It was so mismatched that I had to toss this bag and I was never going back. However, I thought I would give him another chance as I needed the heels replaced on three pairs of good shoes. I have been back four times and each time he has a reason why they are not ready. What is wrong with this man?? We came back when he told us and no one was there. There were several people knocking on his door wanting their shoes. Is there any solution to this problem. I still do not have my shoes and dread having to confront him once more. Beware of this place.

This business should be shut down as it is run by liars and crooks. The owner promised he'd have three pairs of my shoes looking like new within two weeks. A month later and after 7 trips to his store, one of my shoes was never fixed for which he wanted to give a store credit; a $250 Stuart Weitsman sandals were destroyed as he sprayed silver dye on foot area, never replacing soles tho he said he did and the shoes looking completely shoddy; the third pair was glued very sloppily. AVOID this SCHIESTER. The law will soon catch up with him.

I have been back 5 times to fix soles on my same shoes.I live in JC so this only makes it worse.

I wouldn't wish this guys work on my worst enemy. Unfortunately I didn't know anyone else who did this kind of work.

To all of you with bad experiences. I say go right over to the Bristol VA court house and file your case! I did! He avoided me for six months and it took the judge about to put him jail for contempt of his order but HE PAID UP!! He ruined my jacket and treated me with much disrespect but in the end he had to pay for my coat and all my court costs! He has other cases against him too. Go file, that judge remembers him I'm sure! I didn't need a lawyer and he needs to know he can't treat people this way. His dad would be so disappointed in him from what I've been told.

This place is a rip off. He was very disrespectful to my 81 year old aunt. She left my uncles jacket for repair. He tried to convince her that she didn't recognize the jacket she left and that she was just old. He wouldn't refund her money or even try to correct the situation. Not a true businessman. Customer satisfaction is not in his vocabulary. Read all the negative comments and take your things elsewhere. He messed with the wrong lady. There have been over 20 complaints filed on this business. BEWARE AND RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!!!!!!!!!!

This guy is a total rip off and a thief not to mention a liar...don't do business their unless you want to get ripped off...I took my leather coat to him and after 3 months demanded my money back...well what i got was my coat back and it looks horrible...worst experience I have ever had.

This place is a real joke, they are lairs and crooks, they kept my boots for days and when I went to pick them up the snaps they put on them where used , I ask them to correct the problem , and he got mad and told me to leave his property, he yelled and was very rude very unprofessional , he messed up and didnt want to fix the problem, after making 6 trips to him lying to me telling me my boots would be ready , this is the mess I got when I finally did get them, he is a real LAIR and very RUDE , Dont go to him you will be sorry

Horrible owner!! Told my boots would be done in 2 weeks took them 5!!! Did not do work that was paid for made boots look worse than when they came in. Asked for a refund and little bald guy with glasses called cops!! Cops even said this guy does horrible work. Do not go to this store!!!

Dropped off my sons boots the middlebof July and was told to come back in two weeks and the boots would look good as new. He even let us see a picture book with what his boots would look like. Came back two weeks later and was told come back on Tuesday and they will be done. We left and came back on Tuesday and his wife said come back on Friday and they would be done. This went on the whole month of august. Finally in September I went to pick the boots up and his wife said come back in thirty mins. and they would be done. My mother and I sat in the waiting room for three hours while he finished the boots that he had for the past two months.. when we got the boots they were hideous. He took the leather bottoms off and replaced them with rubber, stuck nails I. the bottoms, that came through the inside so you can't wear them, and repaired them with some black goop that was not dry, and in got all over everything. Needless to say the boots are worthless now and he charged us $125 to do this crappy work. He lies and so does his wife. He is rude and very disrespectful and should not be in business.

These people lie, cheat!! They had my handbag since July 8, I made 4 trips always an excuse!!!!!! The last trip my husband went still no handbag, at this point we had to call the police, now the excuses were over, I was told to come back at 3:00, when I got there my purse was hanging in the door I was supposed to get a refund no money was there, my purse was hanging in the door with NO REFUND!!! These people told the police officer I will give her a refund, again lies!!! There is something wrong with this picture!!!
