Nightmare! My wife and I were signed up for a loan that we apparently didn't even qualify for (which we found out the day before closing, after being told for 45 days that everything was perfect) Then we ended up doing a 15 day note just to get the house and planned a refinance at the end of the 15 days. Over 45 days later we were going to close on our refinance from the note to a 30 year mortgage, and we were told that our closing costs would be over $1,500 higher than previously quoted. Our loan officer was out of pocket and no one was available to tell us anything. We pushed our closing back (and paid more out on our interest only "15" day note) Finally, our loan officer met with us and explained that our closing would ONLY be $600 higher than they expected. UNTIL the day of our REscheduled closing, at which point we have been told that he messed up and closing will actually cost $1,230 higher than quoted. UNORGANIZED & UNPROFESSIONAL. Plus the loan officer hit on my wife SOME NERVE
