I went to this dealership for service because my check engine light had come on during my commute to work, this was the closest dealership to my workplace. I usually go to A-1 in New Haven near where I live. I assumed the quality would be about the same due to the Toyota customer service way. I called and the guy on the phone asked me just to drive it down and then someone could bring me to work.

When I arrived at the dealership at first I was very confused how to get into the dealership or where to go, it was very clustered and there was not much signage (Even the guy who dropped me back off to get the car was confused so it wasnt just me). This is unlike what I am used to. I wasn't sure where to park so I just pulled into an empty spot. I went inside and waited in line and then told the woman what had happened and that I needed a ride to work. Everything was all set up and she told me to go to the waiting room and she will call me a ride and come get me when it is ready. There was only 1 seat left at the very back of the waiting room and I sat there and waited. Several times I had seen the woman go by and she made eye contact and smiled (she was very friendly). An HOUR went by before I got up to ask her what was going on because at this point I was now very late for work. I have never waited more than 15 minutes for a ride at any other service shop. She stated that the guy already came for me and I didn't go. I said I didn't hear anyone and I was sitting in the waiting room the whole time and that she said she would come get me. She stated that because I did not respond that the guy left to go somewhere else. Even if I hadn't heard him, which I highly doubt he was ever there as I was waiting. Then don't you think they should try to figure out who was waiting for a ride because clearly they havent left as the have your car? She called me a ride again and AGAIN said she would come get me when they arrive and this time I waited right near the exit. A guy popped his head in and said "Anyone for a ride to ....." and looked as though if he was going to leave if I didnt pop right up. The woman couldnt even see who was coming from her desk and she definately did not try to come get me. I ended up at work over 2 hours late.

When it came time to pick up my car, I decided to get a co-worker to take me to pick up the car so I wouldn't have to deal with their "shuttle service" (which btw is just a bunch of retired old guys in old cars). I got my keys and the woman apologized for the morning. I went out to my car and EVERYTHING had been adjusted. I understand that they need to adjust the seat, but they adjusted everything down to even the headrest. Like seriously, who adjusts a headrest? It took me about 5 minutes to get everything back to normal.

After all that, Im certain I would never like to go back here and instead will just continue to visit A-1 which has a much higher quality of service. I will say though that despite the problems all of the staff was very friendly

Ask for Ray, Jim or Donna in the Internet sales group., they are amazing. They went out of their way the whole time to make sure I knew what was going on and try every solution possible to help my difficult case.
