Steve tried to swindle me out of a fair price for my piano. I have never written a bad review, but felt it my duty to report the truth about Steve Schulte. He had told me he gets a 12% commission on the sale price and I agreed to this. For months he had told me that the $5000 appraisal I had gotten for my piano was wrong and out of date. He kept feeding me false opinions about the value of my instrument saying "the internet has driven down prices of pianos since my appraisal" and "It's not a good instrument and the color is yucky". then he offered me $900 for my piano. I said no, but was willing to up his commission to 20% to help motivate him. The very next day he said he had a buyer, the buyer and his tech came over and were very happy with the piano complimenting its finish and soft key action etc. Steve took a check from them but refused to tell me the sales price until I agreed to a $2500 payment for my piano. I told him that unless he was honest with me and told me the details of the deal, I was going to have to call off the deal.
As it turns out the selling price was going to be $5500 and Steve Schulte was trying scam a 54.5% commission from me and my family! Be warned of Steve Schulte.

I had him tune my 3yr old piano that I bought new. I dusted it just before he came. Right after he left I spotted 3 noticeable dings in the wood that weren't there when I dusted it. I called and asked him if his tools may have hit the piano, because I didn't have one mark on it before he came. He said that no, he didn't hit the piano, but he'd stop by next week to see what I saw. When he came in and walked up to the piano he said, "those marks, no, I didn't do that". I thought, how did he know exactly where to find three small dings in the wood right away, no hesitation, if he didn't put them there. I never had him back again.

Had a similar experience as " Lack of Honesty"! We bought a piano from him, expecting that the piano bench would be included. It was not, but nothing was mentioned until the piano arrive, minus bench. Also, as a part of the deal, he was supposed to tune the piano, after it was moved to our home. However, he called a week before delivery and said that he had time available, so he would tune it, now, prior to delivery.

Needless to say, he never touched it, as it was horribly out of tune. When called, he said that pianos go out of tune, quickly, after moving and would tune it, again(?) for $125!

We had Steven over to tune our piano and had no problems whatsoever. He was very flexible in scheduling and showed up at the time scheduled. Did a fine job of tuning our piano and the price was exactly as I was quoted.
