Stevens Brook Elementary School, administered by the Lake Region School District, enrolls more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, social studies, reading and science. It also provides instruction in art, band, music, and physical and health education. The school engages its students in a variety of community service projects, including annual food drives, collecting goods for the troops in Iraq and raising funds for the local animal shelter. It also provides special educational service for children with special needs. In addition, the school offers a Title I program that is designed to provide remedial reading and math services to students identified through an approved screening process.
